Congratulations to Ms. Ginny Barr for being named Rotarian of the Year 2016-2017 at the July 12th meeting of the Rotary Club of Lake Murray Irmo. Ms. Barr, is a long time member of the club, she is a Past President and has served as Foundation Chair for many years. Ginny embodies the Rotary motto, “Service above Self” she has put together programs that have made a difference in the lives of others. Ms. Barr works for the Department of Corrections and has helped our club put in place Roteract groups that help young men and women behind bars do service projects for the community. It is an excellent program that teaches about giving back. Ms. Ginny Barr is an excellent example of a Rotarian.
