Our speakers on Wednesday, August 1st were Brittany Russell and Angela Flowers from Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands. They spoke to us about the statistics that go along with sexual abuse. It is hard to believe that 1 out of 8 females and 1 out of 12 males will experience sexual abuse. It is also hard to grip that 93% of the time the person knows their attacker.
