Our speaker on Wednesday was Sheriff Jay Koon with the Lexington County Sheriffs Department. He spoke to the club about the history of opioids. He also talked about the programs LCSD has in place to combat this issue. Sheriff Koon talked to the club about some other issues the department faces on a daily basis and the programs they have in place to handle the issues. His talk was very enlightening. The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo was honored to have Sheriff Koon come speak to the club.
