The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo embraces the motto of rotary “service above self”. Each week club members deliver meals to the community in partnership with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission. The club also provides funding for this worthwhile program through a district grant.
Rotarian’s participate quarterly in Adopt-A-Highway, our adopted road is Farming Creek rd in Irmo. This past year we also participated in an Island cleanup.
Members of our club took turns “ringing the bell”. Rotarian’s wished folks merry Christmas and helped the Salvation Army fill the kettle one fun filled Saturday.
On Saturday, April 12, the Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo, along with the Dutch Fork Interact and DJJ Interact students helped with a HomeWorks project repairing a home in Irmo. It always feels good to give back to the community.
