Congratulations to Ms. Jacqueline Buck for being named Rotarian of the Year 2017-2018 at the July 18th meeting of the Rotary Club of Lake Murray Irmo. Ms. Buck is a long time member of the club, she is a Past President and has served in many different roles in the club. Jacq embodies the Rotary motto, “Service above Self” she is always looking for ways to serve her community. Ms. Buck is the Executive Director of Keep the Midlands Beautiful and has helped our club continue to excel in the Adopt-A-Highway program, encouraged the club to take on an Adopt-A-Island project and this year she helped the rotary club get a grant to plant 150 trees in a local park. Ms. Buck started the Rotary recognition of the student of the month program many years ago and she continues to guide the program each year. Ms. Jacqueline Buck is an excellent example of a Rotarian.
