This years District Conference was held in Myrtle Beach. There were Rotarian’s from all across district #7770 and also visiting Rotarian’s from Rotary International as well as the Rotary Youth exchange. The days were very informational with interesting speakers informing us about the much needed funding dollars for Alzheimer’s research. At the conference the attendees also raised over $5,000 for water mission by purchasing tickets for a “waterman” painting donated by George Lewis. The evenings were filled with bands and dancing.
There were many awards given out over the weekend. The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo won two awards. Best Website for a medium sized club. Best Social Media for a medium sized club.
