President Kevin Meetze presented highlights of a very successful Rotary Year.

We had successful Service Projects: 3 Adopt a Highway clean-ups, One Island clean-up, Okra Strut Parade and Festival, Rang the Bell for Salvation Army, Attended World Polio Day at Statehouse, joined other Rotarians to attempt the largest gathering at a State Fair and Meals on Wheels.

We had 80% of our members volunteer for over 600 hours of service!!

We raised money: $1,510 from Belk Sales, $7,682 from BBQ Sales, $1,000 from Okra Strut, $27,000 from Golf Tournament…taking out expenses, we netted $27,400.

We gave money: $1,500 to CART, $1,500 to PolioPlus, $375 to Keep the Midlands Beautiful, $1,000+ to Rise Against Hunger, $1,000 to Snack Pack Program, $3,000 Meals on Wheels Program, $10,000 to ICRC for the Boat Swing at the All-Inclusive Playground, and $1,000 to District 5 Scholarships. We exceeded our Annual Fund to Rotary by 15% and our club per capita giving was $237.00 (the District goal as $180).

And we celebrated our 30th Anniversary. It was a successful year. Congratulations and thank you Lake Murray/Irmo Rotarians.
