Colonel Jay Seward was honored with the 4-way test award on Wednesday, October 18th. He has never missed a meeting even when he is traveling, he still finds a way to attend a Rotary meeting in that area. He has been our clubs secretary for as long as anyone can remember. He fills in as sergeant at arms when needed. He volunteers for everything our club has. Colonel Seward surely deserves this award. Congratulation on this great honor.
On Wednesday, October 19th the Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo had a non- Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow presentation. The club recognized Miss Emma Sue Kay. Her grandparents are members of our club Mike and T.C. Kay. Her grandmother actually got to do the presentation because she is the clubs foundation chair. Emma Sue grandparents are so proud of the young lady she has become. Congratulations Emma Sue on this honor.
The speaker for March 22nd is Amanda Jordan. She will be talking to us about the CART Fund.
Rotary Club of Lake Murray Irmo will be featuring pet(s) of the Month. This month’s pets are Ginny and Ivy Rae brought to you buy Dutch Fork Animal Hospital. These girls are sisters, but can be adopted separately. They are about 14 weeks old, and are as up to date on vaccines as they can be. They are not spayed yet (since they are so young) and would do great in an active home! Both girls are very, very sweet and full of energy! Ginny is the solid white puppy and Ivy Rae is the tan and white! Please contact Dutch Fork Animal Hospital at (803)781-7483 if you would like to adopt these pups! For more pictures please see the facebook post.
